You changed down so I presume it is a manual gearbox. Maybe the clutch is slipping, check the adjustment of the pedal. Should have about1/2 to 1 inch of free play.

This could be a number of things. As it lost power when you started going uphill I would look at the fuel pump wich may be struggling. You should also check the ignition system for moisture as you had left it standing for a week. Spray it all with wd40 to dissapate the moisture then get your garage to check out the fuel system.
