Most places have a flat rate for their "hall" or banquet facility and give you approximately 3-4 hours. Any time after that you'll be charged by the hour. "Waiters' or servers are also at an hourly rate. Typically more that at restaurant since they arent being tipped. $10-$15 per hour. You'll probably need at least 7-10 servers. Each one waiting on about 40ppl since the menu is predetermined theyd mostly be coctailing and bussing. As for the food, you can usually work out a price if you go local as opposed to a big corporate place. Depends on the food too. If you're thinking basic, casual you're looking at around $10-$20 per person. More fine dining is in the $40-$60 range. Most if not all, have packaged deals. If you want to save money, go buffet. You can still have a decent menu but will cost less. You can usually have more options for your guests too. Dont forget the bar too. If you choose to have an open or cash bar. That is a huge difference for your pocket too

Digimon, going on what we do here, drinks and nibbles on entry. Then you have a starter plate, second course, main course and a salad also, sweets with tea or coffee, later in the night while the J or band is going strong, about 11pm, a light supper I served buffet style. The cost is all inclusive including all beverages excluding spirits, that the guest pays for. staff etc. all up, $155 per head. since that figure you can add another 15% to that. If you do it buffet style, it works out less.
