Mostly funding. The public programs are paid for from state tax money and are under the direction of public schools. The private program is basically the same education only is paid for directly by parents and not under the direction of public schools. You can do a lot better for that kind of money.

Not all states permit public taxpayer funds to be spent on a for-profit private education provider. In those states you can still enroll your child, you just have to pay tuition because taxpayer funds are not available. My guess is that it is the same curriculum. Why don't you ask them?

There's not a lot of difference. You don't pay to attend the public Connections Academy, but you do have to pay to do the private Connections Academy. There are a whole host of restrictions on who can join the public Connections Academy - you have to live in one of the states listed here, http://www.connectionsacademy.com/our-schools/availability.aspx for a start. Anyone can do the private Connections Academy, no matter where they live.
