OK, so as long as you mention that you DO NOT own the song in your video in the description, you should be fine. YouTube also has an option that you can mention which music you use, in settings after uploading. Follow both of these little rules and guidelines, and your channel should be fine. That all depends on what the copyright owners have pre-arranged with YouTube about what to do.  Or it can also depend on what the owners think of your video. -- Some record companies flat-out do not want ''any" of their music on YouTube. -- Other companies are not as pouty but will ask YouTube to ''mute'' their music. -- Yet other companies have no problems with YouTube, and ''allow'' their music. -- And finally, a few companies even ''encourage" people to use their music with    YouTube's "AudioSwap". http :// support . google . com / youtube / answer / 94316
