It sounds like strep throat, but it could be viral. Off to the docs for a throat culture and some antibiotics.

Clear snot or mucus is a sign of an allergy while green or yellow is a sign of infection. Another indicator of an infection that you pointed out is a sore throat. It sounds as if you may have a bacterial infection, such as strep or it may be viral, like the flu. Either may be in conjunction with (or not) of an upper respiratory infection. My advice would be to pay a visit to your doctor and have it properly diagnosed. Doing so may help you limit the scale of the infection and get you back to normal sooner.
