apparently it's a Christian thing: “If you abide in my word, you are truly my disciples, and you will know the truth, and the truth will set you free.” I'm guessing there's a connection to Israel/travel since those words were allegedly said somewhere between the sea of Gallilee and Jerusalem...

If you lie all the time, you are bound by those lies and it is a tremendous effort to keep up the lies. Being truthful means everything is out in the open - and you are not spending all of your time keeping up with the lies and perpetuating them. You are free then to concentrate on day to day living.

Answer #10 | 14/01 2014 12:16
When you are honest, your life and situations are far less complicated, it sets you free in a manner of speaking.....When you are deceptive and lie you generally have to tell more lies to cover the original one/s, thus making your life more complicated. Or if your asking for the Biblical definition, it means that having the true knowledge of God will set you free, make your life easier, less complex, give you piece of mind.
