Choose your paint system, fill scratches, prime, sand, mask off, and paint.

Maybe not. Unless you want it to look absolutely, positively, perfect in every way. The void can be filled in with clear coat, or clear nail polish. Use it very sparingly . Smooth it , while wet , with a squeegee, then sand with 400 sand paper, then buff it out. If there is no void, maybe a buffing will do the trick, alone.

i would just stab the ************ in the face with my car keys, then take his wallet, go to a proffesional shop, and git r dun. And kick him in the nuts also. I remember in my early 20's, back in france, an arab ***** and her sob kids opend their doors uncarefully and dented my car. I proceeded to break the windows, hit the car with an axe, puncture all the tires, and for the FINAL , my buddies and i would put the car on its side, lol. OFC we waited to see their face, it made my day, and was worth the dents...

I had the hood of my prestine 1998 keyed or rather knifed. He also sprayed it with some sort of film. That was unnecessary. All of it was. I took my car through a car wash and whatever he sprayed on it does not come off. The auto is pretty much trashed, but I am going to follow the advice of Answer #1. At least it might make feel a little better. I also feel like Answer #3.

Congratulations, your hood has been keyed! If you can't make them pay for getting it painted, either paint it and get it over with or get used to your new rusty scratch.
