Lots of my favorites on your list! Here's some of mine, so you can check them out:
School life:
Hana Yori Dango (best school life romance out there, hands down)
Kodomo no Omocha (younger characters but the romance is SO sweet)
Escaflowne (mostly takes place in fantasy world, but school students pulled into alternate world)
Fantasy (I know not your requirements, but they're really good, and you liked Inuyasha!):
Fushigi Yuugi
Slayers (so cute, SO CUTE)
Rurouni Kenshin (technically not straight-up romance, but the romance in it is to die for)
Ayashi no Ceres

Kamikaze Kaitou Jeanne is totally the best because it is school life, the characters are sooo cute, its completed.
Kodocha is sooo cute and i enjoyed it alot!
Gakuen Alice is adorableeee
kamichama karin was very adorable tooo
Starry Sky is cool
Ultra Maniac was very good
