Probably best to get a tax consultant on that - your divorce lawyer can probably recommend one since separating finances is a common problem in divorce cases.

It's too late now. There are only 10 days left in the year. It takes longer than that to get a divorce. So you can't get a divorce this year.

For the 2013 tax year as of 12/21/2013 MFJ during the 2014 tax filing season for this purpose and time in your life. and the 2014 tax filing season will begin until January 31 2014 for the 2013 tax year 1040 FIT return. Hope that you find the above enclosed information useful. 12/21/2013

since the medical expenses are yours and you can itemize(both of you) filing married separately would be a benefit to you
