I wouldn't. If you already have strep, scrubbing your throat will irritate your throat and cause it to hurt worse. Are you on antibiotics for strep? If so, the antibiotics should clear up the white patches by the time you are finished taking them. If the white patches are really bothersome, you could gargle with salt water, as this might remove some of the white patches and help soothe your throat.

If you have strep throat, you should be on antibiotics. It's nothing to mess with, as strep is a form of staph infection. Just take your meds, and your throat should clear right on up!
