Finish the year out, and see if you can transfer to another school. If you drop out, you are only asking for your life to be a total train wreck. You are only 15 and in high school, you have your entire life ahead of you. Why drop out? Is it going to make you feel better about yourself? What about your family, what will they think of you after you drop out? Getting a GED isn't the same as graduating with a high school diploma. Some people say that high school is the best time of your life, I personally can't agree with that, I was overworked at school and I was surrounded by girls who were as fake as the tans they had. I focused on my education and my future. In the end those bullies that you are dealing with do not matter, their lives aren't exactly perfect. No one's life is perfect. Just think, 10 year high school reunion, and you have finished college and have a great career, how many of those bullies do you think will be great and successful, probably not many. Don't give up and drop out of school, it is not worth it. You will be even more miserable later on in life.

Change schools then. You're going to a private school, so go to the public school and see how things are there. Also take stock on what you're doing to encourage this - identify the problems you're having at home and this cycle of victimization you're kind of encouraging by deliberately setting yourself apart and different from everyone. Problems you can identify and resolve will only improve the situation, and as for being individual and different, nothing wrong with that - but don't expect people to appreciate or care much about it either. If you prefer yourself with long hair, so be it, but if others find that weird, you're choosing to be weird. You can't tell them to appreciate your choice.
