If I wanted to be there, I'd make the drive and enjoy it. If I didn't care, I wouldn't make the trip. The choice is yours.

Did you already accept the invitation? Then go. If you haven't decide whetehr or not you want to go. It's a long way. You could just send a gift.

That"s pretty far for a shower. Just send a wedding gift to her home before the wedding.

It's up to you. You're not required to attend, and you're also not required to send a gift if you don't go. It's ok if you'd rather send your regrets, and it's up to you if you want to send her something. But if you already RSVPed yes, then honor your word and go with a gift.
