Nope, Nintendo DS Lite or Fat because you can run all game boy games and you can run DS games ofc :D

It depends on the games you want out of that. I am kind of more preferable to the gameboy advance games, however I'm also going to say if you want GBA games and you don't own any of the DS games, to try and find a working original DS. As the originals did have a slot to players to play both GBA and DS games. Unless of course you're getting it for the sake of collecting, as these are game types and systems that are kind of hard to find now.

First off you CANT run gameboy color games on a NDS so ignore that. If you want it for the GBC and GBA games I say try and find a Gameboy Advance SP. It has a backlight on it which is useful and its also more compact. Plus it will play the GBC and GBA games.
