I am a long-time 911 owner since late 60's. When buying a used vehicle of any type, particularly a German-marque, it's critical to insure the car was properly maintained by carefully examining all the service records, i.e., inspections, fluid changes, tune up, replacement of worn parts, etc. Personally, I would not buy a car on the internet, unless I have personally inspected it, and had my mechanic perform a pre-purchase check. You alternate choice, a Dodge, suggests you're not serious. An Alfa, Audi, or BMW, but not a Dodge. The 2 cars are about as similar as a polar bear and a porpoise.

Fred is correct. Cars are terrible investment, real estate is great. You don't get tax write offs for cars. Wait until after the house has been paid down for at least 3 years and the mortgage payment is lower than rent, before spending money on a luxury like a fun car. It is not that the Cayene is not fun, but that the GTI is not bad either and a house is much much more important.
