Do not get involved with a co-worker . Buy your own.

If she is willing to sell her vehicle, and you want to buy it, it sounds like a win-win to me. Have the car checked by your own mechanic prior to making the deal (at your expense) and if there are problems with the car that develop after the sale, do not blame her for them. She will get more from you than a dealer would pay her, and you will pay less than a dealer would charge. This is good for both of you

I don't see why it would be a problem. It would probably do her a favor.
Answer #4 | 22/12 2013 21:21
I wouldn't buy a car from a co-worker. I can only see problems down the road either with the car or your friendship.

Do you know her soon to be ex-husband and if you do just ask him how he feel's about it if he does not like it, I would stay out of it and keep your friendship if both are ok with it go for it if you still want to.

If its a good deal, buy it. Why pay more at a dealer ? Have it checked by a mechanic first. If something happens with the car, it not the sellers fault. Don't blame her.

If you buy her car and there are problems with the car don't expect to get special treatment because you work together. There is an old old saying. "Never buy a car from a friend". Because you won't be friends for long.
