Many years ago I read this in Paul's Letter to the Philippians: 4 Rejoice in the Lord always. I will say it again: Rejoice! 5 Let your gentleness be evident to all. The Lord is near. 6 Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. 7 And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus. Philippians 4:4-7 NIV I decided to take God at His word, and have for the most part lived free from fear and anxiety for at least the last forty years of my life. What I have in God you couldn't buy with a billion dollars.

Yes. How ? By my simple innate knowledge there is good and there is evil , and I must learn how to consistently choose good always. Not so difficult , really. If I deny there is a difference , then I am just a stupid cog in the wheel created to teach me know good from evil and I have much to learn.

I know that God holds the future, no matter what the state of things. It is more than words, though. You get to a point of knowing it only by repeatedly experiencing it as you walk with Him.
