Total valence electrons = 16 In order for Hydrogens to be duets and Carbons to octets there needs to be a double bond between the 2 Carbons. Two H's will be above and two below with 120 degree angles. Counting the sigma bonds there are five with the second bond between Carbons being a pi bond. So the answer is D.
