Call your provider. If they can't make it better ... find another one.

True! if your paying for 6MB you should GET 6MB. I can only think you mat be on a "user line" Were the "line" is 6MB but if more people are using it you don't get the full use of it. Then to the location your going to (on line) does not support 6MB. I would call your service provider and have them check it out.

Using wired VS wireless internet connection makes a difference on how fast your connection is. Using a wired connection gives you a better chance to be closer to your max speed, but a wireless connection suffers greatly from many external factor(s) such as weather, buildings, wireless coverage in your area. Test your connection speed via a few times throughout the day to see when your connection speed is the fastest and slowest. You better call your service provider help center to have them review your connection line for any problems. Good luck!!

mbps is megaBITS per secong, while kb/s is killaBYTES per second. it is just how it is, if you divide 6000 by 8 that is how fast your internet shouuld be going, it is normal for a 6mbps connection to be downloading at 200kb/s
