The signal from the transmitter is too weak. You need to improve your aerial.

This is because your aerial is not delivering a strong or reliable enough signal to the telly. Freeview needs a consistently good signal to work properly. It is almost certainly because your aerial has suffered due to the weather. It may have been blown slightly out of alignment (compare it's direction and angle with that of your neighbours), it only needs a small misalignment or bit of damage to weaken an aerial's performance. Or the connection box where the lead is attached has become full of water, or the connections themselves are corroded. This will mean that the aerial's performance will vary according to the ambient temperature or dampness. Before you look at the aerial and its attachments check that the co-axial plug on the telly end of the lead is tight and properly fitted. The cable tv input is not weather dependent so that should be consistently good (unless someone digs the cable up in the road or the box at the end of the road gets flooded).
