you are correct , your friend is a clueless goof ball. hahah , i just said that , because so many young lib voters just have knee jerk reactions to everything without even thinking about it. like you said ! , you can cook for hours and he would sit in your house as you did it waiting for dinner to be ready . But when you say you just want to use it for heat for a couple hours , he goes crazy . hahaha.

Actually, might use that too cook, in the meantime, since you have to eat anyhow, and not much else to do, but that, then warm food, and warmth by the stove, all works. You can freeze the leftovers for later. Using that time for other things.

Anyone who tells you that using a gas stove as a heater would be liable in the event should you suffer carbon monoxide. I agree, using the stove all day long to cook is no different than using the stove to heat. However there's always a chance that there could be some carbon monoxide buildup. I know, I know, you cook all day long. Like I said I agree. It's just that if I tell you it's okay to do that and you suffer harm then I could be held liable. Hope this helps. . Happy holidays.

When your home has appropriate electrical power there is generally a fan and vent so that carbon monoxide doesn't build up in your home. Without electricity there is no fan thus a potential deadly buildup of the poisonous gas.
