Remove the RAM carefully, throw away the old computer, and then replace the RAM in a proper 64-bit machine: 32-bit boxes can't see even 4 GB.

Hi the motherboard is not capable of supporting such a large amount of RAM. so time to upgrade your PC.

Windows will not see over 3 GB of RAM in a 32 bit system no matter how much you put in. Reduce it to 4 and it will see all 4 and that is the best that system will do

32 bit architecture cannot address more than about 3.4GB of RAM. You need a 64 bit system to take advantage of the extra RAM. As for the effect on your gaming...it depends on a lot of things. How much RAM is the game using up? If you're at 85%, then more RAM can help, but not always...8GB of DDR2-667 would very likely perform worse than 4GB of DDR3-1600. In essence, junk that computer and get a new one.
