The battery may be faulty - Regardless of the 100% reading.

This model takes AA batteries, you need Alkalines at the minimum, but preferably Lithium or rechargeable types. All digital cameras drain batteries at a stupid rate.

Check the battery setting in the menu. If you have it set for alkaline and you're using 1.2V rechargeables, you'll get a low battery warning.

If you don't believe it, you two weren't meant to be. Disposable AA batteries? Use at least alkaline. The best are Energizer Lithium. You can also use Ni-MH rechargeables but get at least 2100mAh for long lasting shooting. If your camera's battery is propriety then you must charge it properly. Read the manual and recharge overnight to be sure the battery goes back to full charge.
