I hope this helps you - I've known two other people in the past who had a similar thing happen to their engagement rings. But if I were you, I would try to exchange it for a style that does not have so may tiny diamonds all over the place. It seems to me that what you just experienced might be an ongoing problem with this ring.

Tell them what happened and you want it replaced or a new ring simple. They should work something out with you if you don't get the answer you want ask to speak to the manager. Sorry about this but you will still get married and it will make a great story later!

Don't worry you are protected by the U.K. Sale of Goods Act 1973. Section 14(2) states that a seller must make sure that the goods are of Satisfactory Quality - clearly this item was not satisfactory. Section 14(3) states that an item must be Fit for its Purpose - a ring is intended to be worn in everyday conditions not just be kept in a box all its life, a condition this ring clearly failed to live up to. I am sure a firm like H.Samuel will be co-operative in putting this situation right for you without you having to resort to quoting the Law to them. Good luck.

first NEVER take off you ring to go to the bathroom. Soap and water is not going to hurt your ring and the chances of you forgetting to put it back on or it getting lost is high. I wash my hands, do the dishes, clean the bathroom, I work retail, open boxes, my ring is just fine- nothing is going to hurt your ring Don't go into details with the store-you have worn it less than a month-the stone never should of fallen out. Personally I would pick out a different ring
