A bad Computer most likely. Or faulty wiring. Usually when a main computer fails you will have some indication of that. usually a bunch of strange erroneous codes. or internal fault codes. I have never seen a DL shut down though. so I would rule out wiring first. check your grounds. there are a handful under the hood around your PCM connectors and the body grounds of course. and there are a few under your carpet and dash inside the car too. and one behind the left kick panel. one near your seat belt anchor. one under your pedals. and under the center of the dash. there are others in the rear of the car but none of those are tied into the data link buss. if you rule out all the wiring ( meaning using a proper schematic and making sure you have proper power and grounds, ohms and voltages ) then its probably a dead Computer. Also check your sources for technical service bulletins. when its something strange like this. that's often a good place to start. if you don't have access to that data you can call a local dealership, if they are nice they will look it up for you. or you can find a ship that has access to ALL DATA. they will be able to look those things up as well.

What does it read in the "Odometer"? Is it reading "No Bus" ? Get it check out at your local repair facility. The PCM is probably toasted! It could be one of the sensors is down and pull the rest down with it. Does 5 volt VREF sound familiar? If not then it's time for professional help..
