Clutch linkage problems. This car uses a clutch cable and these fray or stretch over time and do break. Cost for the part is about 30 dollars up, with jack stands or ramps and the right tools it is not that tough a job if you know what you are doing. A bit awkward maybe. I would guess Throwout bearing is bad or maybe syncros are worn out.
