Tell her that you'll only wear makeup that she approves of, and that you'll make sure to keep it in good taste. Good luck!

Jus tell her that everyone else does. You just want to be beautiful like everyone else, then start crying about how its awful not to fit in. She will feel guilty and let you wear makeup.

Just sit down and have a discussion about. Tell her youre not doing it to impress anyone but you're doing it for yourself only. Explain to her how you like the way it looks and how you feel you're ready to start wearing makeup.

Omg I had the same problem! I'm also 13 now and at first I started out with clear mascara and curling my lashes. my mom didnt really like me curling my eyelashes but she just got kind of used to it after a while. Then this year, I started wearing black mascara. My mom didn't really notice since my eyelashes were also black and I didn't put much on. Then, I added eyeliner on my top waterline. She started asking me about it and we had a discussion about how I would keep it light and not go so bold. She actually likes it now! So I would say talk to her about it and tell her you're not going to put on a ton and just keep it light since we're still pretty young. I like wearing it because it enhances my eyes which is my favorite part. Eyeliner doesn't really do any damage to your skin and curling your lashes a lot might effect them but not super bad. So yah, I hope this made sense and helped! (:

Personally, I do not advise very young girls to wear make up. A nice powder will do. If every you have acne scars that make you feel a bit insecure, then by all means go for an all natural makeup kit so you will feel more confident. If you want to make your eyes pop, then using mascara is the way to go. Apply several layers to make it stand out and make sure that you also curl your eyelashes if they are straight. Of course, try to listen to your mom. She knows what's best ;)

I started wearing makeup at 11. You have to convince her that the only makeup you'll be putting on will be natural- meaning it won't be overdone, just an enhanced version of you. DO NOT tell her "All the girls wear it." I made that mistake!

First of all, you're really young. At your age it's not even necessary to wear makeup and honestly it just ends up being a bit of a waste of time. I know that you're eager to start playing around with makeup (I was too), but you will have so much time to deal with that in the future. For now I would just stick with clear mascara and maybe some different colored lipglosses and I'm sure your mom will be fine with that. She just doesn't want you to grow up too fast and believe me it's more fun this way anyways.
