Why don't you try going to a battered women's shelter - then you could get out now and try to get on your feet. At least call one and see if they have any suggestions for you. If you're moving to a city 4 hours away - do you know someone there that can put you up for a month or two so you can immediately get a job there? $7.93/hour is less than $15,000/year. Your best hope is a roommate situation to share expenses so that your money will go further....Edit: sorry - bad math - it's less than $16,000/year

Centers do count emotional and verbal abuse, and there isn't any harm in asking. Get the job before you leave because employers require that you have an address first, even if you later get your paycheck direct deposited. First ask relatives. Good luck. You'll need it.
