Some places won't let you. You can ask. Do they have a senior menu? If not order something from the regular menu and get a togo box at the same time the meal arrives and put half it in right away for later.

I too count calories and I order from the regular menu and then just take home the rest. You can have it the following day as well. Or you could give it to a family member.

Most menus offer a low calorie meal. Unless you take a child with you, chances are you may not be able to. It's not the waiting staff's fault either if they say no because they are probably following policy. If you are adamant about ordering from the children's menu for any reason, I would talk directly to the manager and explain why you want to. Chances are the manager will be more lenient about it.

just order it

That depends on the restaurant. It can't hurt to ask if you can order off the chgildren's menu. We took my 92 year old father out to lunch today and ordered off the children's menu for him because the selection was different and had something he could eat more easily than the main menu. The restaurant we were at didn't have any problem at all. I have been to places that wouldn't allow something like that though.

Answer #9 | 21/12 2013 18:23
It's perfectly fine to order of the kid's menu if you want a smaller portion. You could also order a full sized entree and only eat 1/3, saving the rest for later. Either way, great job!

Answer #11 | 23/12 2013 12:38
If not, then order adult and save some for the next meal. Be sure to ask for a plastic knife...but if you forget, a plastic card works pretty well. Also, have you thought about sugar content in kiddie addict them to a brand name?

You need more weight on your skinny little frame so order the regular portion and take home the rest. My left leg weighs 85 pounds, for crying out loud.
