You need to eat healthy (as a lifestyle, not just to drop a few lbs) and exercise regularly...to lose fat you need to consume fewer calories than you burn...to maintain your weight (when you reach your goal) you need to consume the same amount of calories as you burn... Do: eat plenty of lean protein, fruits and veggies, complex carbs, healthy fats, and drink lots of water... Do: exercise at least 5 days a week (shoot for 45 - 60 mins or more)... Do: avoid junk, sweets, fast food, fried food, things high in sugar, salt, or unhealthy fats... Don't: skip meals or snacks... Don't: exercise 10 mins and think that's enough... Don't: restrict calories or consume less than 1500 calories a day... Don't: avoid weights or reistance exercises (because those build muscle and muscle increases your metabolism)... Don't: neglect your sleep...make sure you get plenty of rest (7 - 8 hrs/night)...
