no real scientific proof of them, however religious references refere to stuff like that as demons ,angels etc..and there is a countreversy on the fact that that ghosts and these are different things..and that ghosts are like the spirits of dead people who were someday alive...thing is Demons will inhabit dark left out places (according to religious references)..its the same where for example a massacre happens in a place (house whatever) and that house is deserted and no one lives in it any more..many sightings and signs of supernatural activities are proved to be encountered in places like these..such places so described as (haunted) which would mean it in both ways..Demons and Angels inhabited it cause its deserted and dark or its inhabited by the spirits of those who lost their lives in it...and no one proved which way is right...the only thing right here is its both ways creepy lol..but as a believer and a man of god ,I'm with the Demons Angels theory.

Science has shown that consciousness is depended on nerve tissue, and that's it. There is no spirit inside of you. While many may not know, but this knowledge agrees with the Bible. The Bible does not teach in the existence of ghosts or spirits. The Hebrew word ruach and the greek word pneuma simply mean the breath of life. They are translated "spirits" by the Bible translators. The Bible therefore teaches that your spirit is your breath of life - the O2 you breath. In Genesis 2:7 we can also see that a soul is a breathing body! A soul is not something "spiritual" in a spirit dimension. It is YOU. (notice that in genesis 2:7 the word here breath of life comes from the same word ruach translated as spirit elsewhere in the Bible). Ghost or spirit experiences are of the devil. They are completely demonic. The Bible said the dead cannot visit their homes again. Job 7:9 As the cloud is consumed and vanisheth away: so he that goeth down to the grave shall come up no more. Job 7:10 He shall return no more to his house, neither shall his place know him any more. So who are these spirits that have been popping up to relatives all along? Devils. see Bible KJV see

Short answer: No. Long answer: Most "ghost hunters" do what is called "anomaly mining." In other words, If they take 100 pictures at a "haunted" location, and a weird streak or light shows up on one, that is considered evidence of a ghost. However, viewed objectively, that's only a one percent success rate. In no scientific endeavor would that be considered viable. And OK, you got a weird streak in your picture. What makes it a ghost? If you answer that you have no other explanation, then you are engaging in what is called the "argument from ignorance." Which means "I don't know what this is, therefore it's a ghost." but it could be applied to anything. Miracles, for example. The other "proof" is personal experiences. I know several people who claim to have personal paranormal experiences. It all depends on the experience, but most of these are arguments from ignorance, or, in the case of seeing a ghost, probably waking dreams or hallucinations. I recommend a book by paranormal investigator Joe Nickell: "The Science of Ghosts."
