No. Polyester won't shrink.

If it says 'do not tumble dry', then do so. This might work.

One hundred percent polyester fabric does not shrink, and running it through the dryer when the label indicates not to could result in a permanent change to the finish or texture of the fabric without a change in the size. If you have access to a sewing machine, take in the side seams; this can even be done using hand sewing. Really like the adding of darts method used in the first link below. You can also take the item, pinned and marked for how much you need the side seam decreased, to a dry cleaner which offers small repair sewing. If you decide to take the item to a tailoring shop, let the tailor do all the pinning for the new seam allowance.

Possible answer
