No. it's a sparkling wine,It's at a good price , tastes good and you can get a nice BANG out of it when opening the bottle.

no...champaign is only produced in a particular region...spumante..is a sparkling wine similar to champaign

Is a BigMac a Whopper? Same logic Similar but different Champagne is a region in France; only the sparkling wines from that area can be labeled Champagne. Everything else is considered sparkling wine. Spumante is italian sparkling wine which is usually sweet while Champagne tends to be dry. Champaign the way you spelled it is a town in Illinois.
