No some people need new friends n I'm sure if u went to just talk U would be helping . I had a friend who was addicted to meth n went to a an when we became friends I rubbed off on her n she quit .

Here's a better suggestion: go give blood. The Red Cross will give you free drinks and cookies.

Yes, it is. And I don't see why you would want to sit through an AA meeting just for free coffee and cookies, that would probably save you 3 bucks. I've been to plenty of AA meetings and the only way I would sit through one again is if you paid me a decent amount of money.

The meetings are really there to provide help and support to AA members. it can be helpful to get emotional support ftom another person that iis experiencing the same situation as themselves. It's because of that, I think the meetings should be purely for the members and only for the members.....lol.
