Honestly processors can run at -100 degrees C. None of the components will have received damage from temperatures like that. Your PC is fine~ Just be sure there is no condensation on or in the computer at all before plugging it in. if there is, open the case up and let everything dry for a few days before doing anything with it.

This is definitely bad for the parts as a general statement, and you should avoid doing that if at all possible, but when its necessary, make sure to let the computer return to room temperature before plugging it in and turning it on as that will multiply the chances of something going wrong.

There shouldn't be a problem if he brings it in, and without connecting power to it, waits 24 to 48 hrs for it to reach room temperature. Being inside, in the warm dry air, will remove any possible condensation that it might have.
