If anything, i think this is good parenting/mother. In what right mind of a mother wants their OWN baby to be influenced or surrounded by them? Let's give them the benefit of the doubt, that they could be good parenting or taking care of the baby. There's two facts stated. They drink and smoke. Smoke? second hand smoking? completely bad for the baby. (no discussion what so ever). Drinking? can cause problems, get drunk do something stupid. (again no discussion whether they can promise to control their drunkenness). You are right on how you feel and stick to it. Of course, if they do ever wonder, you tell them in a honest but nice way. Hope this helps.

No its not wrong but how do you think your going to separate your child from his family members with out causing any problems???

For health and safety reasons like you have said, I'd keep my kids away from them too!
