A 4 year course is going to cost you $160k less what you get in scholarships or grants that don't have to be paid back. That's a lot of money given what a teacher starts out with in lots of the country and you have a family to support. I'd think twice.

I will suggest think twice. Consider other options. Do your research. All the best.

If you live out-of-state - yes. The high tuition of out-of-state students subsidizes the very low tuition of in-state students. State College is far from an extension of Community College - there are usually between 20,000 and 44,000 students or more, hundreds of clubs, sports, concerts, activities and special interest groups. And, there are also great restaurant nearby. A Regional University could be called an extension of community college, but never a State College. Unless the school you want to attend is BYU, Rice, or Notre Dame, then it's really not going to be worth spending that ind of money. The one year tuition cost is equivalent to what a first year elementary school teacher makes. Just image how long you'll be in debt.

You are picking the school for the wrong reasons. Go to a school good for your major that you can afford. Christians are in every University, and there are christian groups at many Universities. You don't need to go to a Christian school to find a Christian spouse.

sorry u getting scammed by unknowing people. go to state colleges as they are often bettter than many private colleges. u do Not pay 40000 a year to look for a 'christian' wife or get a degree as neither have a good R.O.I.s in real world. u do not go to college for 'social life' u go for an education. understand if u pay 40K for education and u can't pay out of your pockets, any loans u get are for ever or till paid off. every 10K of loan take 35,000$ of work to pay off. get some local adult to explain life b4 u get burned. as for elementary teachers paying 160,000 for degree is insanity.
