Hi , It is either , the retainer is defective or you didn't master how to put it properly yet . Ideally it should be fitting properly and clicking to keep the planned pressure on your teeth , to keep it aligned otherwise it is not doing what it should do . You may need to consider contacting your dentist for advice to check the retainer , how you apply it and the worest senarion to fabricate a new retainer . Hope this solved your question : ))

Sometimes the retainers go into place correctly even though they don't "click" like they did in the office. If you feel they are fitting properly, I don't think you need to be concerned. But you could always call the office and get their advice. They may want to see you, with the retainers. just to make sure everything is the way it should be.
