I once heard that if you want a tattoo, you should think on it for two years; if you still want it after two years, then get it. I don't know how long you've thought on this, but if they made a big, positive impact on your whole life - and it sounds like they did - go right ahead, time doesn't matter. Pick out a design. Pay tribute to this artist. Like other people buying shirts or records, the tattoo's one way of thanking them. The wrist is a good place. I'd take the time to pick out a good design; nothing too showy, but don't be afraid when picking one out. Also, it shouldn't matter who the artist is. I don't care if it's Justin Bieber. I don't care if it's Lady Gaga, Miley Cyrus, etc. It shouldn't matter who they are, but it should matter that they made your life better.
