I don't think so. I think it's material goods that we're hardwired to desire, and because famous is one way to gain access to material wealth. I would actively avoid fame if it were coming for me. I prefer anonymity.

I don't know but something weird is going on with music. You can be ugly and publish a book, you can be ugly and paint pictures, but everyone in music is generally really beautiful. I think we put music on too much of a pedestal maybe.

I don`t think so ; it`s simply the effect of the celebrity culture. Lasting fame traditionally is a by-product of accomplishing something amazing or which benefits humanity.
