If you do web and email you will like a chromebook
if you want to store your mp3s, do word precessing and spreadsheets or play games you won't like it as much or maybe not at all
we use the chromebook (Samsung) more than the windows(dell) laptop, but still need both.

It's ok for your usage put as a windows user I won't recommend you to go and buy it because you can buy a little bit more expensive laptop but it well be more than enough while the chrome laptop is just internet surfing with chrome and it's processor is so small in size and performance so it can save power and price so my advice for you is buying a small laptop with intel Z320 with have windows 8 and that will be enough for you.

Chromebooks are mostly ARM processor computers. Having this been said you are relying on a laptop that uses the same processor as your smart phone. Not a good idea. Chromebooks have 16GB Flash memory and some not all are made of cheap plastic. I personally would not use one or even waste money on them. For what you want to do with the laptop you could make do with one. If you plan to buy one get the one in the link below and NO OTHER ONE. This one in the link below has the best performance out of all of the Chromebooks.
