Great car, see what Hyundai can do price wise with the Accent but I definitely like the car a lot and is definitely worth investing in.

Did you just read about that bowling pin in North Korea who fed his uncle to a pack of dogs ??? Hyundai/KIA is one of the LARGEST cash suppliers to North Korea, if not THE biggest. So a $ to Hyundai/KIA is a $ to the bald bowling pin to use to kill his own countrymen...

I looked at the Rio 2 years ago. At the time, a new Rio was $15k, and their top model, the Optima was around $19-20k after rebates/incentives. For the $5k difference, the Optima was much bigger, nicer and interestingly got the same mileage. Percentage-wise that's a big spread, but in car speak, $5k isn't much. The Rio in the days of old was a piece of junk. I have to say, in the past decade it's turned into a nice vehicle with a surprising amount of power for its size and price. I am a big fan of the Kia line. They are where Honda used to be. Honda is still there, but their price tags make them unreachable for the average joe. I think this is a great choice for your needs and budget. I have been very happy with my 2011 Optima.
