You'd better have a lot of money at your disposal. Disregarding the fact that Alfa Romeo cars are said to be unreliable, it's still a 30 year old import from a brand that does not currently sell cars in America, and never did in any great numbers. Getting any parts for this car is going to be a difficult and costly venture. The only good thing is that since it's fairly old and unsophisticated, mechanical work shouldn't be all that difficult, and won't require much special knowledge. However, body work or other things of that nature will be very expensive. I'd steer clear, as a first car. That's something you'd buy when you have a steady income that you can play around with a little.
