It should really only take you 5 or 6 minutes to iron a shirt. Use a steam iron and make sure that it has water in it. Use a high heat. Iron the double bits first - the collar and cuffs - then the sleeves then the back and then both halves of the front. It helps if the shirts are not too dry before you start.

if you are getting shiny marks the heat is too high and maybe the iron is defective, buy a couple of plain white smooth dish towels and lay them over the shirt and iron through them

Unless you work in an extremely formal place you can get wash and wear shirts, take them out of the dryer as soon as they are dry and put them on hangers. They will not need ironing.

For dark clothes iron them inside out.

If they are all cotton shirts iron them while they are damp not dry. They iron better. Take your clothes out of the dryer immediately and hang up. You can also get a steamer and use it to take the wrinkles out of your shirts. It's safer no burnt places and you can steam them while they are on hangers.
