I think comparing iPad Air with Google Nexus 7 (2013) is like comparing truck and car, they both fall in different category. iPad Air is 10-inch tablet and high-end markets, while Google Nexus 7 sits in the 7-inch tablet and budget tablet market. However, the great thing about Google’s tablet is that, despite being an affordable tablet, Google Nexus 7 is still one of the most powerful Android tablets out there. It has powerful processor (Snapdragon S4 Pro quad-core), great GPU (Adreno 320 GPU), 2GB of RAM, a full HD 1920x1200 pixel display and 5MP rear-facing camera. With this type of specs, of course Google Nexus 7 is a great tablet for watching HD movies, reading books or magazines, browsing the web, listening to music or even playing games. On the other hand, iPad Air is just way better than Google Nexus 7. Besides having a much bigger collection of well-optimized apps on App Store, it also has a higher-res display, better gaming performance, cooler design (plus the “bitten Apple” logo which makes you look cooler as well :D) and far superior camera. I think your decision will come down to your personal preference and your budget. If you happen to have big cash in your pocket, and you’re fine being caged in iOS ecosystem, then iPAd Air is your best choice. However, if you’re not really great financially, but love the freedom for customizations that Android gives you, then Google Nexus 7 is also a great tablet for you.
