That's a very good sign of you that you want to make a place of your own in this world. As you are only 18 you can try to get a part time job. cause that will help you to gain experience and money. That's how you will be able to join in a better job after your education period. All the best.

heh, good luck even finding one. I got a denied a job at the Portillo's in Schaumburg because it's overrun by mexicans and the manager only wants to hire mexicans. Everywhere you go, the jobs will be filled up with mexicans. Unless a Walmart, or something is hiring, there are no job in Cook Country for teens and young adults. And if you're only looking for a part time job or some simple full time job, they probably won't ask for a resume. They'll just have you fill out a job application. although if you're job searching in Chicago, I'm not so sure how hard it is to get a job there.
