if my current balance?

Answer this question

  • if my current balance?

Answer #1 | 22/12 2013 13:36 means you can't use it at all - available means that's what you have available to use. Most likely you have either a deposit pending which will bring you back into the positive or there is a purchase pending that hasn't shown up and will drop your current balance negative. In any event, you have nothing available until everything cleares and sorts itself out.

No - that's not what it means! "sic" and my available balance is negative $31.60 - does that mean...... No no no! AVAILABLE BALANCE IS WRITTEN AS A NEGATIVE - (that is with a minus sign in front of the amount) YOU GOT no balance. No available balance - the bank cannot print - you got no money, put money in to cover what you spent! And they can't write AVAILABLE BALANCE is ZERO - because banks don't operate that way! Break open your piggy bank, borrow 50.00 somewhere and deposit enough to cover the 31.50 you already spent. Don't take any more out - BANK CAN AND WILL CLOSE your ACCOUNT for not maintaining a PLUS balance. And you'll have a devil of a time opening another bank account - because banks SHARE that information.
