NO. Absolutely not ! The minute you are issued a license from a different state, the old one becomes invalid. In fact, usually, the new state will seize your old license before they give you the new license but even if they don't the old one is invalid.

No you have to surrender your Texas license in order to get a CA license.thats the first question they ask you.

Yes. If you are Visiting Texas you carry your Cali licence and it's valid, as it is in all the other States, and most other countries. If you Move to Texas, then you have "x" weeks to get your Cali licence swapped for a Texas one.

If you get a license in a state where you don't live, it is not good in any state. If you have a license from a state where you used to live, but you don't live there anymore, then it is not still good in any state. If you get a license in the state where you now live, then it is good in all 50 states, except for (1) any state where you are not old enough to drive, and (2) any state that has prohibited you from driving because of ticket, drunk driving, etc.
