parents need to be strict, but i personally believe stopping their kids going out isn't going to benefit anyone... kids do what they're gunna do so better to be telling their parents than to do it behind their backs... resepct works both ways

it's understandable for parents to be strict with their kids... it'd help raise them to be respectful and not snobby/bratty/rude/ect... having people over, also fits in with kind of being strict, maybe their friend isn't the right person to hang out with, or you parents aren't up for providing for an extra kid... now, not taking a kid anywhere, that's isolation... that's also considered child abuse... and, if a parent is way too strict, pretty much to the point their child is isolated, then yea, that's a**hole-ish... and could get the parent in trouble...
