Was is past tense. Worried is past tense also. I was worried is correct.

"I was worried" is correct. "I was worry" is not correct grammatically. It depends on what you want to say, the options are two: to be worried, to worry (about/over): I was worried about that. I worried about that. °°° Here "I was worry" is grammatically incorrect, because he wants to say he worries about something. It's just like he made a mix between "to be worried" and "to worry". I don't think one would ever say "I was worry" in order to say "to be a problem that makes someone feel unhappy or afraid".

I was worried. "Was" implies that it already happened so you add the '-ed' at the end of worry to also make it a past participle.
