Not really sure what your problem is, but if this is a coin then it should have some sort of value/denomination marked on it. Sounds like some sort of commemorative medallion perhaps there were originally a pair with a matching one showing the queen's head.

It sounds like a coin made for the coronation,it would not have mary on it,george was the king who was crowned,mary was just queen consort.

It is a medal. A commemorative medal. They do not need a link for suspension.
